On July 26, 2012, a lecture was held by Dr. Pham Thi Thu Giang, whom we invited as a Visiting Research Scholar from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at Vietnam National University (VNU) in Hanoi. Dr. Pham gave a talk on “Secularization in Buddhism: A Comparison between Japan and Vietnam”. This lecture is held as the 6th EALAI Open Session, hosted by JSPH and EALAI（East Asia Liberal Arts Initiative, The University of Tokyo [UT]）and cosponsored by the Institute for Advanced Global Studies, Center for Asian Studies, UT.
